something NEW - something DIFFERENT

I've spent the last year or so really experimenting with my art... Well, i wouldn't even call it experimenting maybe, I just think my work is going through a ton of changes, and I suppose a lot of my aesthetic tastes are changing, too. ;)

This is the sort of stuff that's been creepin' out of my pencil lately,
and I've been having a lot of fun with it. It's funny, I think I've been
sorta' calling-up some of my artistic influences that haven't necessarily come out too much in a lot of my older stuff... Burton, Silverstein, TenNapel...

I have a lot of fun with the more thought-out, graphic, 'shape-based' stuff, and it's SO fun to just be loose with the ol' sharpie or even ballpoint or pencil like I love so much. But this stuff maybe falls somewhere inbetween... It's a little stream-of-conscience AND a little "rendered"... sort of a nice harmony for me! :)

Reading the book 'Droid Maker; George Lucas and the

Digital Revolution' right now... I highly recommend this bad-boy,

it's an AMAZING read!
